OSSA Wildfire

If in doubt, or it doesn't seem to fit elsewhere - put it here.

OSSA Wildfire

I’ve been looking for one of these for a very long time (sometimes not trying very hard).
This one popped up and I foolishly bough it. It it quite nice, needs a few things but most already done. Since I have too many projects now anyway- that is sort of nice.
69 Wildfire- not much over 200lbs pretty darn quick. These did very well racing back in the old days.

I think we are always one shy of having enough bikes. Just need more space to put them.
This one looks like a fun project.

I do have one that is leaving soon (back to original owner, which is a good deal. I just fixed it up).
Then I will be putting the BSA up for sale I think. Have to draw the line someplace. Haha

I was pulling out of my driveway for a short test ride- it ‘popped’ then when I let out clutch I went backward. I have not had one run backward in a very long time. It was interesting trying to ride it that way…

I checked timing (Motoplat) and it was quite a bit too far advanced. It was pretty hard to kick it too, after setting properly, it is easier to kick and seems to run well (have not test ridden again yet). I did verify with timing light. This model has the shorter kickstart lever, same at the Stiletto and TT bikes.

That's funny! Had that happen on Bultacos a long time ago. The old gas powered golf carts used that method for reverse, connecting the reverse lever with the ignition plate.

What is this line you speak of? Not familiar with the concept.
