Hi,
Dick Wolf here, just like bikes and people that like bikes. I started out in INDIANA on a WHIZZER in 1946. Moved up to a "K" model HD in 52. I helped a friend build a twin engine (two modified 80s) HD for drags in 1950, which ran the Midwest Drags from 1951 to 1956, taking home many trophies. In 1955 we ran at Bonneville salt flats for what was then a record for that class 157.2 MPH. Not very fast by todays standards, but for farm kids we were riding high. my friend "BUD Schmitt" still runs the salt each year during the "BUB" trials at age 88 he handles the "V" ROD at greater speeds than back in the 50s.
After moving to San Diego I purchased a Honda DREAM in 1963 to get to work on, and traded to a SUPERHAWK in 1966. The SUPPER HAWK won't break so I'm still riding it today, just for fun around Sequim.
Hope to meet some of you soon.

Looking forward to meeting you Dick. Will you be at the next meetup at the Cornerhouse in PA?
