Hi, my name is Arren Day. This is the first forum I have ever joined, so please forgive my lack of computer skills.
I am a caveman.
I own and operate a small shop in Port Townsend where I restore classic yachts and motorcycles. We have a full woodworking shop and growing machine shop.
I fell in love with bikes as a child in my grandfather's machine shop. He built and raced Indians, Bultaco's, and eventually Japanese bikes on the flat track circuit. My first ride was a little Honda 50cc dirt bike that he put together out of spare parts from his scrap bins...
I am currently riding a '71 BMW R60/5. Cute, and a little smokey from worn valve guides, but great around town.
My project bikes include:
1964 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750cc. Near the end of the British built RE's, I am told.
1970 BMW cafe conversion.
1977 BMW R75GS conversion.
I love the idea of this new group, thanks for putting it all together!
Looking forward to learning more about British motorcycles from the group.
